Activists arrested for Belgrade protest against lithium mine remain defiant despite intimidation

In Serbia, dozens of people have been detained after protesting against the planned opening of a lithium mine that they say will damage the environment.
Following nationwide protests, a licence granted to mining giant Rio Tinto was revoked in 2022.
But the project was restarted last month following a government U-turn.
Opponents claim they are being targeted.

Al Jazeera’s Michael Appel reports.
