The Darién Gap covers 10,000 square miles between Panama and Colombia, and was known to early explorers as “the Darién Plug”. It’s a dense landscape of mountains, tangled trees, and swampland, with no roads in sight. It’s all the more mysterious then, when a group of explorers stumble upon a rusted red sedan, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. How did a car find itself trapped in the middle of the rainforest and, more importantly, why was it left stranded?
