Sudan’s shaky ceasefire: Fighting intensifies after talks suspended

Sudan’s conflict has continued for a seventh continuous week, where fighting has propelled the nation into an all-out war since fighting between duelling generals from the Sudanese army and its rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out on April 15.

United Nations has condemned the looting of aid offices and warehouses in Khartoum and El Obeid. the UN says El Obeid warehouse is one of the largest humanitarian aid bases in Africa and is a ‘vital lifeline.’
The United States has imposed sanctions on four companies linked to Sudan’s army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
