French President Emmanuel Macron is urging Chinese leader Xi Jinping to reason with Russia, to help bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
The leaders have been meeting in Beijing to discuss the conflict.
Macron is on a three-day state visit, and he is been joined by European commission president Ursula von der Leyen.
