Slagel Dining Facility is the largest dining facility in the Department of Defense. It serves 12,000 meals a day. Trainees at the Medical Education and Training Campus at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio are required to eat lunch at Slagel Dining Facility, where the staff serves 4,500 meals in just 90 minutes.
