Myanmar’s president, Min Aung Hlaing, has made a two-day visit to Bangkok as his government seeks to rebuild regional ties after years of isolation following the 2021 coup.

Armed opposition groups warn that engagement with the military-led government undermines those resisting its rule, as ASEAN faces pressure over how to handle Myanmar’s reintegration.
Al Jazeera’s Barnaby Lo reports from Bangkok, Thailand.
